Highly-appreciated partner as an expert for environmental and sustainability management, Mathias has been the first Chairman of the VNU (Association of sustainability- and environmental management professionals) since its foundation in 2001. During his career in several companies, Matthias Friebel implemented environmental and sustainability standards for the operations and the supply chain and is one of the founding members of the German Environmental Verification Committee which accompanies the implementation of EMAS by request of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety.
